CINEMA NOMAD

CINEMA NOMAD

On her 33rd birthday, American filmmaker Stephanie Gardner set out to travel to over 33 countries around the world to meet other film directors who are also approximately 33-years-old, to learn about their lives and careers in their home countries, discover what types of stories they’re compelled to make into films, and to engage with their cultures.

“Sometimes cinema speaks for the citizens of a country that otherwise has its voices muted. Many of the filmmakers we feature on “Cinema Nomad” take great risks to tell their stories, and by doing so, their films and actions provide hope, inspiration, and knowledge to their populace.”
